Bees in the Graveyard! 2012 Halloween Shoot

A few post ago I shared with you a sneak peek of Whitney & Gary's wedding. Now I would like to share with you their Halloween shoot from last year.
They were a bee keeper and his bees. Whitney the queen bee and Charlotte the baby bee.
(Earlier this year I also shared Charlotte's First year shot.)
We met at a cemetery close to their home and it was perfect.
We did these early evening before it got too dark out. The leaves on the trees and the ground created the perfect backdrop. Of course the location in general added to the Halloween feel for the shoot.

 Daddy and his little bee.

 A Queen and her Princess!

Baby Bumble Bee and her pumpkins!

There is still time to get in a Halloween/Fall shoot! It is also getting that time of the year for Holiday photos. Holiday mini-shoot session dates are coming soon. Be sure to check back for open dates for the mini-sessions. or Send me an email at kgrussellphoto@yahoo.com to discuss availability. Weather it is for your yearly family portraits or for your Christmas cards a Holiday mini-shoot is perfect for any occasion.

Alyson- Just for Fun!

Alyson's mom called me up after Alyson was not happy with her school pictures. It was her junior year and she just was not satisfied. I met them on an overcast raining afternoon. Despite the light drizzle we did have a lsome sun peeking through. That pit of sun made it easier to get some great shots. But of course Alyson was also great subject to shoot so that helped too. We started at Round Top and then went down to
 The Endicott Visitor Center.
They great thing about Alyson being such a great subject is that Alyson is a Senior this year and
I will be doing her pictures again soon. I can not wait!

Brooklyn Newborn Shoot

As I get ready to post this shoot I realize how very, very far I have gotten in sharing my shoots with everyone. You see Brooklyn just turned 1 and we had her 1 year session just a couple weeks ago.
I have been having sessions with Brooklyn every 3 months so there are still a few to share before I post her 1 year.
I promised myself at the beginning of last year and again this year that I would not get behind again, well life has just gotten away from me.
As I said I have had sessions with Brooklyn every 3 months and it has been an honor to capture her first year. I also had the honor of capturing Brooklyn's sisters first year. I love to have that honor with babies. It is so amazing to see them every 3 months and see how much they have grown and changed since our last session.  Brooklyn has been no exception.
So with out further ado I bring you Brooklyn's newborn session...

We tried to get big sister, Hailey, to read to Brooklyn but she did not want to. So we first had her sit with her bunbun and then we swapped bunbun out for Brooklyn. I love how sweet she looks in this shot that I had to share it.

Always have to have baby feet in a newborn session. Love baby feet!

This is an image that we recreated from Hailey's first shoot. Baby laying in Daddy's arms.

Big sister and Baby sister!

And the most precious shot saved for last. Mommy rocking baby!

Stayed tuned for more of Brooklyn's First Year!

Steve and Tracy Wedding 2012

I had the pleasure to shoot this wedding last September, and just a little past their first wedding anniversary I am finally getting it posted. I have been shooting their little guy since he was just under a year, and was excited to be able to share their day with them.
Tracy called me up to ask if I was available to shoot their wedding, I told her YES of course. Then came the shocker... "When is it?" Tracy replied in 3 weeks. You see Tracy's dad was ill and they planned the wedding so that he could see her wedding before he passed. Steve's family was not able to attend in person because they had planned it quickly. They set up a laptop and Skyped with his family, so they were able to see everything.
The day of the wedding came and Tracy's dad fell ill again and was at the hospital, he was unable to attend. Everything still went as planned, except Tracy was escorted down the aisle by her mother.
Here are a few of my favorites from their day..

Here comes the Bride....
