2015 Holiday Sessionswith Christmas Backgrounds

Last year I had surgery and was limited to the shoots that I could do and how far I could venture for these shoots. With this in mind I chose to just do a few sessions for repeat customers and close family and friends at my home. I only offered 1 date for these sessions, where in the past I have offered several dates, where as this year I have offered 3.
I found that the idea of reviewing the images and allowing them to choose their favorites to burn to a copyrighted CD for them was the best way to go! I am offering this same option this year. The clients who book one of these sessions this year also have the option of 3 different dates and locations.
I did my youngest sister's photos a week after my surgery at her home, this is a session that I shared at the end of 2015 and you can find the link here. Below you will find some of the more Christmas/winter themed backdrops that I used for these sessions. I am also going to share the more traditional images as well in a separate, but wanted to make sure to share all of them!

The next post I am will be sharing these same faces but in non Christmas themed backgrounds.

This years sessions will offer both Christmas themes and non Christmas themed backgroungs

Samantha & Eli- Pie Day Wedding 3/14/15

My Beautiful baby sister got married!! While I was not the photographer at this wedding I did get a few shots in, as every sister who is a photographer would do at her sisters wedding. The photographer of this wedding was my dear friend Bethanie. You can find her on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/bethanie.fiori.photography/ and at her blog here http://bethaniefioriphotography.blogspot.com/

The signs the Ring Bearers will carry

Brides Maids and Flower Girl dresses and shoes

The Bride relaxing before the Limos arrive to head to the Church.
Love the Something Blue Shoes!

Flower Girl watching for the Limos to arrive

An idea found on Pinterest... The Flower Girl in the Brides shoes

No matter how Grown up we may be there is always room for silliness with our friends!
Contemplating the start of her new life... or just watching for the Limos too... We may never know

Taking a moment to create a memory with her Flower Girl. Aunt and Niece

When the Bride is hungry and it's still hours until the Reception. She settles for some McDonalds

Another Pinterest idea. A girls first love- her Best Friend

After the Ceremony and Formal pictures and before the Reception started we went out to set off these lanterns in honor of our Mother who could not be with us on this special occasion. We lost the greatest person in our lives, the one that gave us life in June of 2014. We wanted a special way to honor her on this day and decided on the lanterns!
Love the image of my little girl chases after her lantern before it was too high for her to follow!
Love you forever and always. You are never truly gone as you will live forever in our hearts! Love and miss you lots, Momma!!

Before the night was over the Bride and Groom took a moment to dance with 1 of their Nephews and their Niece

The love these two have for eachother is amazing. I could not picture my sister with a better person. They truly have found their sole mates!

Engagements 2014

In 2014 I had the opportunity to take Engagement photos for 2 couples that are important to me. My baby sister who got marries in March of 2015, Pi day to be exact. The other couple is a dear friend of mine from work, who had a nice backyard wedding in July of 2015.
Here are some of my favorite images from both of their engagement sessions.

Samantha & Elijah

Kathleen & Don

Congrats to both couples on wonderful weddings and a successful first year of marriage.

Check back soon for some of the images captured at both of these weddings

Time does not stop

I have realized that time does not stop, no matter how hard we might want it to sometimes, it just keeps going... As I look back on this past year I realize this even more, how there is just never enough time to do the things you want to do. My kids are growing too fast, my oldest is out on his own trying to find his place in this world and my youngest just started middle school. It is true what they say "Don't blink or it will be gone." With this said,  I"m always taking photos with my camera or with my phone, but I always try to capture what I can. The kids sometimes get annoyed with me, they'd rather be taking their own selfies. Some day when they are grown and have families of their own they will be thankful of the photos and the memories that they bring back for them.

Looking at my Blog I realized that it is time to get back to sharing all the awesome people I have had the opportunity to have in front of my camera. I am going to play recap and share some sessions that I was not able to share over the last 2 years. Seniors and Proms, Engagement Sessions, a wedding as well as some images I captured at my sisters wedding, and 2015 Holiday Sessions.

Life is too short not take time to take time to capture memories to look back on. I enjoy helping families capture some of these memories. What better time of year to capture a family memory then the holidays. Capturing your family in a photograph at the end of each year is a great way to look back at how everyone has grown and changed from year to year.

As I share some of the awesome individuals and families that have been in front of my camera and share some of the story with you, I hope you take this time to reflect on your own family and its story. As you do that I hope you also think about considering KGR Photo to help you capture a family memory this Holiday season.
