Done with 2011 and onward with 2012

I did it again, I know I said that earlier too, I got behind in my postings. Life got away from me with so much happening at the end of 2011 and beginning of 2012. I have accomplished posting the end of 2011 shoots and now can show off my 2012 shoots. Shoots that were done with my AWESOME new camera. This year I broke down and bought a new camera, a Nikon D5100. I have to say that so far I have not gotten bored with this camera yet. I can not wait to "show off" my shoots, but before I do that I have one last post of 2011 to share with you.
In September when it flooded, on my little girls first day of first grade and her sixth birthday and my sons first day at a new high school, we went and stayed with family for a few days. We were out in the country on top of the mountain and it was beautiful up there. I had a few moments of boredom and took out the camera and had some fun shooting some things that I don't get to see in the city.
Here are a few of my favorite images that I took. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do.
I think that mushrooms are the neatness things. I love to eat mushrooms (stuffed, on pizza), but I also love the way that they look. Look at the detail in this one the cracks all through the top of it are great! There are a few more images of mushrooms to come too, it was like a little Smurf village in the yard.

Just strolling along the yard taking photos when grace and I happen across this little guy. Grace had a blast playing with him and even wanted to keep him. We explained that it was not a good thing to keep him away from his family and he was returned safely and unharmed back to the yard.

I have a few more images to post in this post but wanted to share a few that I had ready with you. Check back this week to see some more great scenery shots.

Kadance

Meet Kadance. She was the last "subject" that I shot with the second half of the Family of 5 shoot. Kadance was going to be a big sister very soon so I wanted to make sure that I get some of her alone. She on the other hand did not think that is what she wanted. Mom even told me that she would point to her (mom's) stomach and say "baby". I could not even get her to do that for me. I understand it is hard to be that little meeting someone new who has a camera in front of her face most of the time. Here are some of my favorites:

With Mommy and Daddy and one of just her and Mommy. We tried to get one with just Daddy but she wanted nothing to do with that idea either.

Love these two! A little "Do Princess Wear Hiking Boots?" (book by Carmela LaVigna Coyle)
 idea going on.
I had a great time shooting this big bunch of girls and look forward to shooting Kadance's sister and Sam's sister soon!
