Kadance

Meet Kadance. She was the last "subject" that I shot with the second half of the Family of 5 shoot. Kadance was going to be a big sister very soon so I wanted to make sure that I get some of her alone. She on the other hand did not think that is what she wanted. Mom even told me that she would point to her (mom's) stomach and say "baby". I could not even get her to do that for me. I understand it is hard to be that little meeting someone new who has a camera in front of her face most of the time. Here are some of my favorites:

With Mommy and Daddy and one of just her and Mommy. We tried to get one with just Daddy but she wanted nothing to do with that idea either.

Love these two! A little "Do Princess Wear Hiking Boots?" (book by Carmela LaVigna Coyle)
 idea going on.
I had a great time shooting this big bunch of girls and look forward to shooting Kadance's sister and Sam's sister soon!

Hailey is Two!

Hailey turned two in December of 2011, (yep that's how far behind I am. but I am getting caught up!). I started of with a plan in mind of what I was aiming to achieve from this shoot. If  you are guessing that the plan did not happen, you would be right. I always try to have an idea for all shoots but be okay if they don't go as planned, especially at this age.
I met them at their house and Hailey was not into having her photo taken that day. We were able to get a few inside and then we headed outside for a few photos and a quick distraction. I have three to share from outside because I just could not decide. After heading back inside and a quick warm up we did some in her tutu and then settled done for some more formal photos.

I love how the crown on the sign behind her sits just above her head, like it was meant to be there.

Even though she was freezing she had no desire to go back inside.

This photo was another distraction that came out great. Ya know the unplanned kind!

Love the big grin and mischievous look in her eyes, in these two images.

We then got her back into her dress and she was still not wanting to sit back down for some more posed images. Still like this set that we got though.

Hailey with Mommy and Daddy and one more with Mommy.

One last image of Hailey in her Bills jersey. What a face maker she is.

I had the privilege of shooting Hailey's first year of life and was excited to shoot her second birthday photos as well. I think that I will be seeing a little bit more of this face in the next coming months as Hailey will be a big sister soon!

Family of 5- A shoot almost gone wrong...

If ever a shoot had the chance to go wrong this was the one... The week before this shoot I could not find my battery charger for my camera, no one in my house could find it and my son insisted that it was not in his room. With two batteries almost out of life I headed off to do this shoot with hopes that the battery lives would last. We did all the important photos that they wanted but didn't get the chance to do fun ones of the baby, as the batteries did die. Also on the night of this shoot I was supposed to shoot two more girls, cousins of this family, but they were sick. So I promised this family that when I came back to shoot the other girls that I would do more of them. This made everyone happy.
Enjoy the photos from this two part session.

Emaleigh

Danielle

Isabella. Check out the next posting to see more of Isabella. Since I took more of her at the second shoot I decided to make this session two separate posting.
The older girls with dad and then the whole family in front of the tree.

These next few photos were also taken at the second part of their shoot. I did take ones of the three girls at the first half of the shoot but found that this one was my favorite of the three of them.

Mommy and Daddy with Izzy.

Thank you for being so understanding with my and my lifeless camera batteries. I had a great time shooting all of you and look forward to doing more!

Meet the "C" Family- Christmas 2011

I shot these photos of the "C" Family at the Roberson Museum.  These particular photos were done with them standing on top of the staircase with me shooting up from them at the landing of the staircase.

The Vanderlindes

Oopps...
I came across one more shoot from 2010. This is my sister and her family. Believe it or not it was hard to get the boys to sit together and look at the book and not me, but I have to say that this first photo of them is pretty convincing that they are actually reading the book together.

Rocky was even more difficult to get him to sit still for this photo. It took a few tries but we got it!

Here are 2 of the whole family. One with out Rocky and one with. As you can tell he did not want to sit with them for the photo.

Have to say that it is pretty sad that it is almost time to be shooting their Christmas photos again and I am just sharing them with you all. Oh well better late then never!

Ceiri / Armstrong Family

This is my good friend Jenn's family. Jenn is on the far left in red. In this family there are the parents and 7 children plus 5 spouses and then there are 14 children between the siblings. This makes one big family! These photos were shot outside the house that they grew up in. We shot them on a sunny Sunday afternoon after Christmas.

We were having some difficulty getting a great shot with everyone looking. Then someone suggested silly faces and this is what we got.

Here are the 7 siblings.....

....and here are the 14 grand children. There just might be more on the way!

Thanks to you all for letting me takes some photos of your family!

Family of 4!

With the great weather we have been having for it being fall, I had the opportunity to shoot this family outdoors. I took them to Port Dick Park. It is a very nice place to shoot with so many photo opportunity spots. Here are a few of my favorites!

These two images were shot down by the River.

These next three of just the boys were all shot by the same tree. A very cool tree with several trunks coming from one stump.

Then we did the boys with both just mom and then just dad.

They are sitting at a table that is in the park that has a chess board on it!

Thank you, Melanie & Frank for letting me shoot your family! Hope you enjoy the photos for years to come!
