Sun Flare Photo

I took this photo of my nephew Cameron in September. This was an outfit that his brother had worn when he was around the same age and my sister wanted photos of Cameron in the same outfit. I took them out in their backyard. He was not being the most cooperative subject that day. This was not a planned posed, but he was being so cute with the leaf, so I just went with it. The sun flare was not intentional either, but it turned out great.

I have not gotten the chance to post the full session but here is a sneak peek of Cameron's 3rd birthday photos (he turned 3 in November 2010). I also did not get this posted on I Heart Faces in time. But if I had met the deadline this would have been the photo that I chose.

Best February Face

So this weeks challenge at I Heart Faces is you favorite February face. I have flipped through the camera and have it narrowed down to two that I really like... One is of Kristopher fast asleep in his bed curled up with Lucy, our boxer. I must mention that Kris is 15 yrs old, and I could not help myself, I had to take it. The other photo is from when I took Grace to get her ears pierced. The photo is of Grace's face as they are actually piercing her ears.

So, my dilemma is that I posted Grace last week and should I use her as the subject again this week or should I post Kris and risk him getting upset as it might ruin his "image." Oh, and I also should mention that the photo of Grace was actually taken by Kris as I was sitting in the chair with Grace on my lap. So, does that actually count as a photo that I can post as I did not actually take it?

hmm...

OK, so I totally flaked on getting on of the images posted for this photo challenge. I am off to see what is this weeks challenge and hopefully get a photo posted this week. I thought that I would share the two photos that I had wanted to post for this challenge.

Kiesha- Just For Fun!

In early October I took Kiesha out to do some Just For Fun photos. We met down town at the State St. parking garage. We headed up to the top of the parking ramp to shoot this first set of photos. I love these and how all the old buildings created such a great backdrop for the photos!

We then headed into the stair well to shoot these ones. This one with her reflection in the window is one of my favorites!

This next group were taken in the Court Houses side lawn.

Could not resist getting this shot. The "guns" were just sitting there and she was up for it.

Thanks Kiesha! Had so much fun doing these with you. Can not wait until we get a chance to do some more!

Anything But A Face, I Heart Faces Photo Challenge

I have found this website called http://www.iheartfaces.com/, and every week they post a photo challenge. This week challenge was Anything But Faces. I have been watching this site for 2 weeks now and have decided to participate in the challenge. I went through a bunch of photos and was having a hard time deciding what one to share. I have chosen the following photo because it shows the true nature of my daughter.

She is all girly girl as you can see with the pink bikini but she has no fear getting dirty and touching critters.
