Cameron 3rd Birthday!

Meet Cameron, I think that these images show off his personality the best. From the cheesy smile to covering his eyes with the leaf. He was a little difficult to shoot this day, but we made it through and got a few great ones! The outfit that he is wearing was his big brothers, Conner, who wore it for his 2nd birthday shoot. Cameron was finally able to wear the outfit and Mommy wanted birthday photos of him in it too.

I love the building that he is standing near. Unfortunately the building is no longer there.

The sun flair in these two photos were not intentional, but love it there!

What a great shot to end the shoot with. There were a few more after this one but he became very crabby after this. So I decided not to share those with you.

Let's Hear it for the Boys! Iheartfaces

This weeks photo challenge at Ihearfaces is "Let's Hear it for the Boys!" My choice for this shoot was this photo of my husband allowing our daughter to put a bow in his hair on night. What better way to show the love he has for his little girl and what a great dad he is.

Playing catch up!

I have finally been able to sit down and go through all my shoots from the end of 2010. At first thought that I thought that I would just go through each shoot and pick 1 or 2 and do a post of an over view of all the shoots from the end of 2010. Then thinking that through a little more I decided that that would not be fair to all those great subjects that were in front of my lens. Finale decision... I am going to show full posts from each shoot.
I have just shared with you Joey's 2nd birthday shoot and The "O" Family. I have a few more to share with you, including the wedding that I shot in October. When I get done sharing the end of 2010 with you I will share the great shoots that I have had this year.
Keep checking back this week as I share all these shoots with you. I know I have said it already this year, but my goal is to have all the shoots posted by the end of June so I can start sharing the great shoots of 2011.

Meet the "O" Family

I had the pleasure to shoot the "O" family in late October 2010. Sarah's sister contacted me and asked me to shoot them for Sarah's birthday present. They live right down the road from Newman Battle Field in Elmira and wanted to meet there to do the photos at the park. So, I took the drive out there and not realizing that with all the construction going on that the road to the park was closed. I had to go down to Elmira and turn around and do a little back tracking, as there was no sign stating to exit before to get to the park. I finally found my way and was not too late meeting them. It was a chilly and windy day, but they were brave and had a great shoot.

We started by the big monument. We then headed to the lookout and shot some there. As we walked to the lookout they told me that this is where they had gotten married, so what a great place to shoot a few photos of them.

This photo is not very clear but the view behind them is amazing. I am looking forward to heading there this summer to get some of just the scenery that is behind them.

We then ventured further into the park where they do the reenactments to take some photos there. The little houses were so cool that we just had to do one in the doorway! Love this one, by the way.

This little "house" was really neat too. After I convinced to climb up and have a seat they informed that this one was used for captives. oops... it is still a cute photo!

We headed a little farther into the park and did a few more. We then headed to their house because they wanted to shoot some there too. As we pulled in this tree caught my eye and I was in love. So this is where we headed. Great tree, right?

They have a great view from their yard too! A photo of the happy couple to end the shoot!

Thank you so much for allowing me to shoot you, I had a great time and it was great meeting your happy family!

Joey 2nd Birthday

This is a shoot from the end of 2010. Joey turned 2 in the Fall we were able to get a few outside in the leaves. He wasn't too sure at first but then found the fun in throwing the leaves and did not want to stop. We then headed inside to shoot a few with the number 2. We were even able to get a few of him with his Godmother.

There was a mirror just sitting there in the room that we were shooting in and I just had to use it. It was a good distraction as he started to get a little bored with the photo taken. It then gave us the chance to take a few more "posed" photos of Joey. These 3 are my favorites with the mirror so I thought that I would show them off in a collage.

We were having some trouble getting him to sit still, hmm... imagine that with a 2 year old. So I stuck him in the bucket and he was so content!

I love this one of Joey and his Godmother. Even though they are not looking at the camera the memory of them staring at each other is priceless!

Thanks Donna, for letting me help capture Joey's second year photos. Sorry, they took so long to get posted.

Waterfall

Last weekend I took my friend Nancy out to do some photos for her for a website that she is starting. One of the places that we decided to venture to was Traditions at the Glen. We hike our way through the mud and into the flowing waterfalls. They were flowing so great from all the rain that we had had in the previous days. While we were there I took the opportunity to shoot some of the water flowing over the rocks.
I finally sat down a few days ago to upload the images and see what I got. I was so excited that I captured this image. It is one that I have been trying to capture for some time. I water is perfectly "blurred". I can not tell you how excited that I am that it came out so perfectly. I was not even trying. I could not ask for this picture to be more perfect.
Sorry, for sounding so bold with describing how excited I am over this photo. But I just can not help it!!
The only editing I did was a slight lightening to it and of course the framing on it. Below I have turned it to black and white because I loved it both ways!

From a Distance I Heart Faces

This weeks challenge on www.iheartfaces.com is From a Distance. My first thought for a photo for this was to choose one from this shoot with Christina. We went out a few months after she got married for some dress trashing. There were a couple of images that I went back and forth on but this was the final decision. Hope you all like it and to check out more From a Distance photos be sure to check out the link above.
