Megan & Tanner Senior Prom. Binghamton, NY

Every year Seniors of Binghmaton High School meet at Recreation Park for photos before the Prom starts. I am not sure how long that this has been a tradition but I had a chance to be a part of the craziness there. With all the seniors and their families wondering around we were able to find a few clear zones.
Tanner had made arrangements for a Fire Truck to pick them up and drive them to the Prom. Mom had told me this information afterwards, I told her she should have told me sooner because I would have meet up with them later and made sure to get a few with the firetruck.
But with or without the firetruck we got some good shots.

A quick photo with some friends.

I love it when people want to be original and be themselves! Megan decided to where her cowgirl boots with her gown!

A quick look back before they are off for their evening FUN!

Prom season is fasting approaching again... I can not believe that it has been almost
a year  since I shot these two.
Feel free to contact me to discuss booking a Prom Mini Session. This can be done in several options. I can meet the night of the Prom with a group of Seniors at any desired location or we can do a private shoot (like the two that are above) on Prom night or we can do anytime around Prom night. Kayla & Kris Harpursville Jr/Sr Prom 2013

Meet Kayla & Kris. This was Kayla's Jr/Sr Prom, this was her Junior year at Harpusrville High School. Weather wise this was a great evening. They had a good time at the Prom too. Our original plan was to go to several locations and do some fun and funky photos. (Kris is my son and so this made them game for anything.) But just like every girl on an important day, Kayla was running late... lol.
They finished getting ready and we headed to Confluence Park to take the set of photos that we got. We were on a time crunch, as they had to be at the Prom before a certain time or they could not enter.
I am very pleased with the photos that we were able to get.

A collage of Kayla. Love the middle photo. Spotlight on her with him watching from behind.
We all went together to look for Kayla's dress.
They were on a mission to find a purple gown, but just could not find a purple one that she loved. When we found this gown we knew this was the one. I think the navy was a much better choice.

A collage of the two of them together. There were several that I wanted to be able to share so I went with 3 collages. This way I could showcase some of my favorites but not make this posting very long.

A collage of Kris by himself too!
They decided that they did not want Kris in a full tux.
We decided to purchase the outfit giving him something more formal to always have on hand.
I have to say he does wear the look well! (I know I'm being a little bias.)

I love this shot! I was so glad that I was behind them on our way back to the car.
Being the gentlemen while she adjusted her shoe.

One last photo before I left them at the Prom. I wish that we had taken a couple of minutes and did a few shots of them with the sign. But I didn't want them to be late.
The story behind the PROM sign is...
A male student from Kayla's school made the sign and lit it up in front of the girls house that he was asking to Prom. I loved the jester so much that I wanted to make sure that I captured the sign.

Brooklyn 3 Months

When I met with this family last year to do Brooklyn's 3 month shoot it was close to Easter time. I wanted to make sure that we got some shots for Easter.
I also wanted to recreate some of the poses that we had done with her sister, Hailey, at the same age.

These next thee images are the ones that I wanted to recreate from Hailey's shoot at the same age. You can see Hailey's shoot Here. Of course being two different girls we did not get the same exact images but we did recreate the scene.

Every baby needs to have a bathtub photo!

Two of my favorite props to use for little girls are the tutu and butterfly wings. I always try to do something a little different with each shoot. I brought along the parasol for this shoot. As you can tell from the image above, Brooklyn was very intrigued with the parasol. In several of the images she was staring at it and trying to grab it.

I couldn't go up and shoot Brooklyn with out getting some of Hailey too. Here are 4 of my favorites from the Easter poses. The one on top of the collage is my favorite. We were trying to get Hailey to kiss Brooklyn and well... as you can see from her face Brooklyn did not quite know what to think.

To end the shoot, a few of big sister by herself!

Keep checking back for the rest of Brooklyn's first year!

2014 Projects...

The year is in full swing, and after a very long, very cold winter, spring is finally here!
I am looking forward to a great project I have this year. It is something that I have not done yet, but am super excited for the opportunity! This May and June I will taking photos for a horse show!
I have done a Senior session and a Wedding that included a horse. But, this is a new adventure, one that I could never pass up! What a great way to further my experience. Be sure to check back in June to see some of the shots from the Horse Shows.

I am also going to be trying to offer some mini shoots. This is something that I want to try and do each month. Offering a new theme every month.  I had wanted to start sooner but the below freezing temperatures made it difficult. I am going to kick this off in May with a Mommy & Me Shoot. I plan to offer two dates for this Mini Shoot. Also, I plan on doing June's Mini Shoot as Daddy's (& his) Little Hero's ( a super hero theme for both boys and girls.) Check back next week for more details and a sample shoot for each.

Again, I start the year behind in shoot postings... I have just excepted that this is the norm.
I have some great shoots that I can not wait to share. My plan is to do 1-2 a week and hopefully be caught up by the time I do the first Mini Shoot. This is a goal I hope that I can achieve so, that I can show shoots much quicker!

I wanted to share at least one photo from last year with you. This is a photo of the sign in LOVE Park in Philadelphia, PA. This was taken on a trip there in November 2013 when the kids and I went to see my sister Samantha and Eli, her NOW Fiance! Don't forget to check back for more of photos from our trip to Phillie and Samantha's awesome collage campus! I will also be taking their engagement photos soon!

So, there is so much to check back for over the next couple of months!
1. The horse shows in May and June
2. Information on Monthly Mini Shoots
3. 2013's Photo Sessions
4. Trip to Phillie & college campus
5. Samantha & Eli's Engagement Session.
