2 Sisters and their Cousin!

I have been taking photos of this extended family for about 4 years. I first starting photos of Amanda when she was just 3 months old and as the family has grown I have had the joy of capturing all off them. I met Amanda and her cousins, Sam & Jaylynn, this sunny August day. (It also happened to be my birthday.) I was meeting them so that Jaylynn could have her first photo shoot and to capture some photos of the sisters together too!
Sam arrived first and we took some of just her while we waited. I was able to capture some great shots of her. I was so glad because her second birthday shoot we were not as lucky.

When Amanda and Jaylynn arrived we started with some shots of the three girls together. Making sure to capture some of the sisters as well as Jay by herself.

Although she was not a smiley baby this day, I am pleased with the shots that I was
able to capture of her. Solomon babies are better then screaming ones.

I thought a little "picnic" in the park would be fun! The girls had a blast with this idea.

To end the shoot I was able to get a few smiles from Jay once we took her into the playground!

Since this shoot is almost a year old... I hope to be capturing them all again soon.

Charlotte First Birthday Shoot Part 2!

Again I had a shoot that I just could not narrow down my favorites.
So, I split into two post as to not overwhelm you with a large post.
We shot at Wolffe Park in between little spurts of rain.

These are my favorites in the red tutu. The image below was the only one
that I was able to capture of her sitting inside the frame. As soon as she realized
she was inside the frame she panicked a little and did not want to sit in it any more.
But for only getting one shot I LOVE it!

We then ventured down to the stream. This was mom's idea and I am glad that we headed
down there because she loves water and we were able to get some cute photos.

We finished a cake smash, of course. I bought a large piece of cake
at the store and brought it a long. We did not let her eat too much of the cake
because she has reaction to dairy. But she did make a mess with the little bit
that we allowed her to eat!

I look forward to getting to shoot Charlotte again soon.
Make sure you check back because there is a Halloween Shoot
coming soon with Charlotte and her mommy and daddy!

Mother's Day 2013

Wishing all of my mommy friends a wonder Mother's Day!

Today I find myself relaxing in the husband's recliner and watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

I woke this am to my little girl wanting to snuggle with me. Shortly after that she came in with a glass of OJ and a plate of grapes and strawberries. She then woke her brother who made me a mug of coffee. But before that she gave me her art work that she made in school for Mother's Day. My favorite gifts! (the homemade kind!)

We soon be leaving for the little girl's soccer game and then headed to my mother's where we will be having stuffed shells cooked by my dad with my husband's homemade sauce! What a great end to the day it will be.

So, on this Mother's Day I want to thank my two wonderful children who have made me a mom.
Because without them my world would not be the same and I would not be celebrating being a mother!

My first born! It is hard to believe sometimes that he is 17! Here he is last night all dressed up and headed to his girlfriend's Jr/Sr Prom! (more photos of the two of them to come. We were short on time so took a few last night with the promise that we would go out another day and shoot more!)

My baby girl! Who made our family complete 9 years after her brother was born! My world would not be complete with out her! This was her at cheering at the beginning of this school year. I am thinking that she is due for a photo shoot too!

May you all enjoy your Mother's Day! May you all feel as blessed as I do today!

Charlotte First Birthday Shoot!

This little cutie pie and I share the same birthday! Not only did I have the honor of shooting this cutie's birthday photos but also spending our birthday together. I had been looking forward to this shoot for sometime. Soon after I become friends with her mommy and learned her birthday was the same as mine I could not wait to take her First Birthday Photos!
We headed to Wolfe Park in Binghamton. I love it there- trees, water with small dock, gazebo, large wooden swings, not to mention the stream and trails. It is just a great place to shoot any type of shoot! It was a nice August day but we did have a short rain shower. The shower caused mommy to slip and bruise up her knee. We also headed down to the stream, where I also injured myself with a scrape to the arm from a branch. But all of things were worth it because we got some really GREAT shots!

Charlotte's great aunt made the shirt with the wings for her, the birthday party was a Fairy theme and this is the outfit she wore for the party.

We did the first set of photos inside the gazebo while it was raining. The rain came to an end and we ran up to this great boulder. No sooner did we get out there and get a few shots and it started to rain again. So, we scooped her and the camera up and headed back to the gazebo, this is when mommy slipped and banged her knee up pretty good.
But this photo was worth it!

LOVE baby toe shots!

This outfit came from me! I saw it and could not resist. I found the hair bow right before the outfit and knew that I wanted to use them together, throw in the purple backdrop, and we have a great photo!

There are still more to come of this shoot. I am working on getting the rest ready to post. Be sure to check back in the next couple of days to see the rest of Charlotte's shoot. There will be another tutu, water photos, and a cake smash!

Swartz Maternity Shoot

Since the New year I have been trying to get this shoot posted for you, but blogger has been giving me a hard time uploading my images. With a little time this morning I have been playing around with blogger and have finally gotten these images posted.

I met up with the Swartz family at Cutler Gardens in August, it actually was the weekend of the Spiedie Fest and we weren't sure if we were going to be able to get into the gardens. We met early and were able to get in with no problem and when we were leaving they were just starting to block of the entrance to the parking lot. I was glad that we got lucky and were able to shoot here because I am in LOVE with these great shots that we captured.

The flowers were in full bloom and created a great backdrop for this shoot. Hailey was in a good mood and cooperated to get the images that I was hoping for!

Now that baby Brooklyn is here and is 6 months now I bring you Swartz Maternity Shoot!

I love these two images! When I saw this large area of purple flowers in the middle of the path I knew this is what I wanted. So down Stacey sat and out came the bare baby belly, I couldn't wait to get home to edit this image so that all you seen in color was the purple flowers.
Just past the purple flowers we found this little "wooded" path I sent Rick and Hailey off so that I just had Stacey on the path and just as I got her posed and put the camera up to shoot the scene Hailey appeared in the background and I thought that it was perfect. So of course I made sure I snapped a few that you could see her back there and a few after she moved. But, I liked the ones where you could see Hailey behind Stacey!

I think that this spot with the large rock in front of the ferns was great too. It was almost like the people who created the garden placed this rock here for the purpose of it being used for photos. I love the backdrop it created, almost like you are in a whole another place.
LOVE the photo of Stacey and Hailey! We tried to get the same thing with her and Rick but we just could not recreate something that she did naturally!

Congratulations Swartz family on your sweet new addition.
For those that follow the blog stay tuned because soon you will get to see Brooklyn's first photo shoot!
