Mollie 2011 Senior

Meet Mollie! She is a senior this year and will graduate in June 2011. We did the head shots at her home and then we headed to Chenango Valley State Park. It was a nice sunny day but we had to fight the wind a little. Here are a few for now that I took, I will post more of this session later. I have posted more on this shoot be sure to check them all out.

I love these two with the trees behind her. The sun was hitting them just right making them a bright green. The bridge that she is standing on is down by the lake. We were not able to get any close ones by the water as it was off season and they had drained the pool part of the park.

These two were taken at a pavilion at Chenango Valley State Park, I love that it had a fire place inside it.

Thank you Mollie, for letting me create this memory for you. Hope that you enjoy them and that you have a great Senior Year!

Trash the Dress- Christina Part 2

I did this shoot of Christina and David in August. We had such a good time. The images in Part 2 of this shoot were taking at Salt Springs Park in PA and the ones that were done in the pool were shot at my sisters house. You can see Part 1 of the shoot by following the link below.

LOVE. LOVE. How this one came out with the pink shoes up against the barn.
This is another favorite with the flowers in front of her.
I loved both of these of Christina in the waterfalls, so I put them next to each other for you to decide which is your favorite.

She even laid down in this mucky spot for me, with out any complaints.

Getting wet by the waterfalls. She was willing to get soaked and stand or lay where I asked her too. As you can see in the photo below she was even willing to head right into the cold, dark water.
This one of her in the water with her reflection I loved in color and in black & white. What do you think?
We were walking back through the water to head out of the park and David was helping Christina over the rocks, when I turned back and was able to catch this private moment that they were having.
These is a wooden bridge that you have to walk over to get to the path for the falls. There were some great rocks under it that I wanted her to sit on, so down we climbed. The sun was coming through the slats just right to catch this photo.
With a very wet Christina, we headed back to my sisters house and in the pool she jumped. Here she is soaking in the sun rays.
I do have to say that this is probably one of my favorite shoots from 2010. Thanks Christina and David for letting create this memory for you! What a way to get use out of that dress.

Updates

As you all know I have gotten very far behind on the updating of my blog. I am still trying to get all caught up on the shoots from the end of 2010 so that I can share the few that I have already had this year. I just got a new laptop so the updating process has started. There is still alot that I have to share from the end of last year, so be sure to check back. I still have a senior session to post and the second half of the Trash the Dress shoot. I have baby Samantha's 1 year and some that I shot of Amanda for Christmas and her 2 year. Baby Hailey has turned 1 and I have her 1 yr/Christmas shoot to share. My nephew Cameron turned 3 in November and I have his birthday shoot to post as well as the family's Christmas shoot. This year I took some of Grace in her Christmas dress and some of Kris as he turned 15 in January. I had the privilege to shoot a baby boy this month and can not wait to share those with you as well. I have another shoot coming up of Amanda for more of her 2year photos. This year, I have decided that I am going to just be shooting family and my current faces. I have just a few new faces that I have promised to shoot though. I have decided to focus more on family time. I also have decided to try a little different approach to photography this year that is not just people. So be sure to watch for some new and fun stuff this year. I have come across a website called I Heart Faces, and every Monday they post a photo challenge for the week. I thought that this was really cool website and that the photo challenges would be fun. So be sure to watch for my posting for I Heart Faces photo challenges. I also have had a few ideas from some non photography blogs. I will be sure to share the links if I do get them started. Thanks to all my followers, Trisha- KG Russell Photography

Meet the P Family

Meet the P family! Mom does a family photo for their Christmas card every year and were looking to have a little something different this year. They are all originally from out of town, the kids are currently living here, and mom and dad were in town for the weekend. I know the younger of the two Mrs. P's and she asked me to shoot these for them. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny October day. I had fun shooting them!

The family is Mr and Mrs P and their two children and their sons wife.

Please enjoy these few photos from this shoot. The first photo that is posted is a collage that I made from the individual poses that I took of everyone.

Hailey 9 months- Full Post

I shot Hailey's 9 months photos in September while it was still a little warm. We were able to shoot them all outside. We started at the house and did some in the yard and the back porch. We then headed to Dorchester Park in Whitney Point, NY. She was so funny once we got her in the sand, she was more interested in the feel of it then looking at the camera.

Hailey is now 14 months old and I will be posting her 1 year/Christmas photo shoot soon as well.

They have this cute little wheelbarrow as a yard decoration, so we dragged to the end of the yard and stuck her in it. She was not so sure about it at first but we got a few smiles.

She was so interested in the leaves that we are on the ground too.

Here she is all dressed up in her Duck costume for Halloween.

This outfit was an outfit that was my daughters that we had passed down to Hailey. My daughter had come along for this shoot and had brought her pompoms and so we dug this outfit of the closet to shoot her in. I could not decide which one I like best so I put them side by side for you all to decide which one is your favorite.

Standing with Mommy.

It was warm enough that we were able to get her in her bathing suite. She loved the sand. She was so funny with her hands and feet in the sand. She kept digging her toes into the sand. So we got some sand covered piggy toes.

Thank you Stacey and Rick for letting me be apart of the memory making of Hailey's first year. Check back soon for her 1 year shoot.
